The smell of good food is in the air as we get ready to receive the new year. We've got some great friends visiting, we've got the grapes and the wine, and the champagne bottles chilling, we've got the candles lit and the oven turned on...We're ready to welcome 2008 :) are you?

Even your mom likes Sevendust...

I was fortunate enough to score tickets for Sevendust today (Thanks JM!)...I must say that it is one of the great rock bands out there now. A solid performance that had everybody bouncin' and jumpin' around. I'm there for the next one!

...deep in the heart of Miami...

...My father took me to this undisclosed location. This place is a warehouse. Right after calle ocho, this place is a wine cellar...Wines from all over the globe are sold here for cheap. And You as a customer can come into this anonymous building, pick your bottle, order a prosciutto and cheese sandwich and just enjoy. Happy Wine at Miami is a wonderful concept for a business. Phillippe, is a french guy who obviously loves what he does for a living, he welcomes everybody into his place, even artists who sporadically come in and play old time cuban songs for you. I had a great time with my father today.

There's a lot of things on my mind.

This was a long time ago.

Back in the day I made a little experiment. I took over 5000 pictures of my friends and family over the course of a year or so...Some days I took a bunch, some days I took a few, but they all made it in here. I set it to the music of Millencolin, one of my favorite punk bands. I found it yesterday so I decided to share.

Christmas Eve/Christmas/Up till now

I gave a cookie monster to my nephew. I got a surprise call from April and she visited! I had a nice talk with my brother from another mother, Javier. I had another suprise call from Richard, he says he's down here in Miami, we're gonna hang out this coming Wednesday! I went to my friend's Carlos to hang out there for a while. I spent time with my dad this morning, watching Planet Earth (a gift from me). And now I'm in bed, and it's cloudy outside. I had a great Christmas. Surprises, good company, great friends. Perfect.


Planet Earth is amazing. Go buy it.

My trusty travel journal...

...This thing was my companion all over Europe...I collected a whole bunch of stuff to stick in it later. Today I broke out my bag and found all kinds of cool stuff that reminded me of the little things. Like subway trips, or whatever I ate on a particular day. :) Today I did all transportation... Subway tickets, plane tickets, maps, even barf bags :). I also stuck on the back cover a pin for every city I visited...my dad and I made it a point to find a pin for each one. Can't wait to go back!
